I begin my process for Gun Vector traces by outlining the visible individual parts of the subject, to prep for coloring & layering.
I always begin detailing the most difficult spots first, starting with the smallest segments. Because it is traced from a real photo provided, I either have to interpret certain parts that’s blurry in the photo, or have to ask the client to send me closer photos of certain sections.
The largest parts with the least amount of detailing required are usually done last. However in this design, the Flashlight ended up being the most detailed part of the final design.
